Hapkido
what is
Hapkido is a Korean martial art focused on practical self-defense, teaching students how to control and overcome an opponent through joint locks, throws, strikes, and kicks while building confidence, discipline, and character.
Our history and lineage
Hapkido is the newest martial arts program offered at our school. After training under Grand Master Joong Suk Shin, we were deeply impressed by the depth of his technical knowledge, exceptional teaching ability, and unwavering dedication to traditional martial arts. Recognizing the value of his approach, we knew it was something we wanted to share with our students here in the United States. Today, our Hapkido program operates under the guidance of the Jin Jung Kwan Federation, led by Grand Master Chang Soo Lee, ensuring that our students receive authentic instruction rooted in the highest standards and traditions of the art. During our training in Korea, the founder honored us with the privilege of becoming the USA founding school, entrusting us with the responsibility of teaching, promoting, and expanding the Jin Jung Kwan style of Hapkido throughout America.
