Il Nam Yang

Grandmaster & Owner

Grandmaster Il Nam Yang is a lifelong martial artist who began his training in South Korea before immigrating to the United States to share his passion for martial arts. With decades of experience, he has dedicated his life to teaching students the values of discipline, respect, and perseverance through authentic martial arts instruction. His model, "Being a student first" is a great demonstration of his growth-oriented attitude and humility, training and learning multiple martial art disciplines to better provide for his student body.

Moon Joo Yang

Master & Owner

Master Moon Joo Yang has dedicated much of her life to martial arts and student development. From managing daily operations of the school to handling administration of the after school program, she is passionate about supporting students as they grow both their character and skill. Known for her welcoming presence and genuine care for others, she plays an integral role in fostering the strong sense of community that defines Master Yang's Martial Arts Center.

Ashley Gonsalves

Program Director

Ashley Gonsalves began her martial arts journey as a student in 2007 and has since become an integral part of the Master Yang's Martial Arts Center family. Having experienced firsthand the positive impact of martial arts training, she is passionate about helping others begin and succeed in their own journey. As our Program Director, Ashley is dedicated to guiding students and families, helping them find the right program, and providing support every step of the way.

Julius Gonsalves

Operational Master Instructor

Master Julius Gonsalves is one of Grandmaster Yang’s longest-tenured students, having begun his martial arts journey at Master Yang's Martial Arts Center in 2000. Through years of dedication, perseverance, and commitment to both the school and its values, he advanced through the ranks to earn the title of Master. Today, he shares his experience and passion for martial arts by helping students develop not only strong technical skills, but also the focus, perserverance, and character that define a true martial artist.

Jacob Yang

Operational Master Instructor

Master Jacob Yang has been immersed in martial arts since the age of three, developing a lifelong passion for training and eventually teaching. In addition to his extensive martial arts experience, he holds a Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science, allowing him to blend traditional martial arts instruction with a strong foundation in human movement and physical development. As a Master Instructor, he is committed to helping students of all experience levels reach their full potential while cultivating the next generation of black belts.

John Fournier

Head Instructor

Instructor John Fournier began his martial arts journey under Grandmaster Yang in 2010 and quickly developed a passion for both training and teaching. Committed to leading by example, he has dedicated himself to becoming not only a skilled martial artist but also a mentor who helps students grow in confidence, respect, and character. Known for his genuine care and unwavering support, John strives to make a positive impact on every student he teaches, both on and off the training floor.
